She Found Her Destiny in the Vegetable Market

Guess what? As a result of God's grace in responce to your prayers, we have at least one new Christian! My mom led her to the Lord, so I asked her to write a report. Here's what she sent me. Do pray. I'm sure her life is a bigger mess than we could possibly know at this time.

Dear Debbie,
Wasn't Sunday exciting? God certainly answered prayer above and beyond what we could have imagined. The lady who was crying is Chiharu Tanaka. Dad met her at the vegetable shop about six months ago. She promised him that she would come to church, but she didn't. She has been in a mental hospital for five months. She had to put her three year old little girl in an orphanage because there was no one to take care of her.
She said that when they passed the elements for communiton she really wanted to partake of it. Ted had said that it was only for those who believed in Jesus as their savior, but she took the juice anyway. Before she drank it she prayed and asked Jesus to come into her heart and take over her life. Then she drank it. (I guess she understood that much from the sermon.)
She was still crying when I got to her. She said, "I've been in a mental hospital for five months because I believed that all my problems were the result of the bad things people said and did to me. Now, I know that they were all things I did to myself." She seemed so sincere and seemed to understand things that some Christians don't understand for years. I was amazed. We gave her a New Testament and told her to start with Mark.
She said that her sister was home sick and that she had to go and get lunch for her. She only lives about two minutes away from our house, so I thought I would talk to her later, but someone invited her to the ladies Bible study on Thursday afternoon. I'm thrilled, but also afraid that I can't meet her needs and also the needs of the ladies who have been coming for years. Please pray for me, that God will give me wisdom and a balance. You won't believe this, but we're in the middle of studing about salvation, so the topic couldn't be better.
Thanks for praying,
Love, Mom
